Sierra Madre Cops File Another Complaint
Michael McGill, attorney for Sierra Madre Police Officers Association, has filed a complaint with a state oversight board saying member officers have been denied holiday pay by the city.
The complaint alleges the city paid only half the holidays hours officers should have received in fiscal year 2011-12.
The city received the complaint at the end of June according to Elisa Weaver, Sierra Madre Public Information office . The city has 30 days to respond.
Weaver said the POA claims the city improperly imposed holiday pay agreements. Weaver said “We disagree.”
As of July 1, Weaver says the Police Officers receive 104 hours of holiday pay.
