Santa Anita to Host 3rd Autocon LA Festival July 21
The public is invited as Santa Anita Park will play host to AutoCon Events’ 2012 Los Angeles Auto Festival this Saturday, July 21 from 12 noon to 7 p.m. in the track’s Southwest parking lot. One hundred automotive companies and manufacturers will display their wares and the event will include hundreds of modified and luxury automobiles, L.A.’s highest rated food trucks and a “drive-up” stage of full entertainment.
Beyond the cars, attendees will also have access to automotive clothing and parts sales, a (female) model runway and lounge, media shoots, guest speakers, raffles and DJ entertainment.
“AutoCon has developed into a valued client for us and they put on a great show,” said Pete Siberell, Santa Anita Director of Community Services & Special Projects. “This year’s event should be their best one yet and there’s going to be something for everyone with the food trucks, music and everything automotive here in one location. They have scheduled 21 of these type events nationwide and we’re happy to be a part of something of this magnitude.
“We’ll also be open for satellite wagering on Saturday from Del Mar and Saratoga, so we hope some of these folks will mix some horses with their cars. It should be a lot of fun.”
Siberell also noted that AutoCon’s stable of 19 professional models for 2012 will be on hand, including Miss AutoCon, Holly Lee.
Pre-Sale admission to the 2012 AutoCon Los Angeles Festival at Santa Anita is available for $15.00 by registering at www.ac2012tickets.eventbrite.com. On-site admission on Saturday is $20.00. Attendees are encouraged to enter Santa Anita via the track’s south end at Gate 3, off of Holly Ave., or on the west end through Gate 8, off of Baldwin Ave.
