The City of Rosemead Public Safety Department is hosting its monthly Community Safety Meeting on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Rosemead Public Safety Center, 8301 Garvey Avenue. At this meeting, participants will learn the importance of “hardening the target” so that residents do not become the next victim of a residential or vehicle burglary.
Deputy Farley from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Rosemead Special Assignment Team, will provide an update on home and vehicle burglaries that have occurred in Rosemead between April 2012 and June 2012.
In addition, the workshop will provide tips on how to safe guard your homes and vehicles and how to stay alert to discourage burglars from victimizing our community. This is a free workshop and everyone is welcome. This workshop is highly recommended for all Block Captains, block groups, school officials, business owners, and concerned residents.
These monthly Community Safety Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month. The program is part of the Public Safety Department’s continued efforts to promote personal and neighborhood safety.
For more information, please contact Mandy Wong, Public Safety Coordinator, by calling (626) 569-2168 or e-mailing mwong@cityofrosemead.org.
