Vanessa Carlton was a big draw at Cal Phil's Santa Anita debut - Photo by Terry Miller

About 7000 people attended the very first Cal Phil Concert on the green series last weekend at Santa Anita Race track. The reviews were very favorable as Victor Vener led his orchestra through some very complex arrangements which culminated with a performance with the USC Band and an elaborate fireworks display at the historic Santa Anita Park.
The inaugural Cal Phil Fesitval on the Green was a huge hit in the Santa Anita Infield! Not only was it a beautiful night, but Vanessa Carlton, the USC Marching Band, and the California Philharmonic were stellar. This amazing concert series continues on July 14 as The Association team up with Cal Phil with some of their 1960 hits “Cherish,” “Never My Love,” “Windy,” “Along Comes Mary,” among others. Join us at this brand new venue. You can buy your tickets online here!
