Mikey Easter is only 8 years old but already headed for the big time. Arcadia Little League player Easter plays for the Minors Angels and will participate in the team championship portion of the nationwide Pitch Hit and Run competion on Saturday June 16 at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
Easter won the local and sectional events held in May and June to qualify for the spot at Angel Stadium.
The top three scores in Easter’s division will win a week at the Major League All Star game in Knsas City, MO on July 10 where they’ll compete in the finals for the Pitch, Hit and Run title.
After the competition Saturday the young Easter heads to Yuma, Arizona to play in Cecil Fielder’s World Series, a five day event.
