PUBLIC INVITED TO PASADENA POLICE HELICOPTER OPEN HOUSE JUNE 2
PASADENA

Find out directly from flight crews what it’s like to do police work while swooping over Pasadena by helicopter. The Pasadena Police Department’s Air Operations Team will touch down for a free Open House event June 2 to give residents a close-up look at the helicopters and to learn more about how Air Operations protects and serves the public.
The public is invited to this special Open House from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Benedict Heliport, 2175 Yucca Lane in Altadena. The Benedict Heliport is just off the 210 freeway, at the Arroyo/Windsor exit.
Other important police vehicles will be on display, including motorcycles, an armored rescue vehicle, Crime Scene Investigations and a mobile command post. Visitors can also meet some of Pasadena’s most popular officers, the K9s, and their human partners.
Anyone interested in a law enforcement career also will be able to speak with representatives from the Pasadena Police Employment Services Unit. And each hour, starting at 11:30 a.m., Pasadena Police will present a different demonstration of techniques involving SWAT, K9s or motorcycles.
