Family of Kendrec McDade Files Civil Rights Claim for Damages against Pasadena PD
On April 3, Carre Harper (attorney for Anya Slaughter and the McDade family) filed a Civil Rights violation claim against the Pasadena Police Dept at the US District Court.
Named in the suit are Police Chief Phillip Sanchez, Officer Matthew Griffin, Officer Jeffrey Newlen and Detective Keith Gomez.
The suit cites 1. Wrongful Death (violation of civil rights) 2. Unlawful Custom, practice and policies 3. Wrongful Death ( negligence)
4. RALPH Civil rights act ( CA Code 51.7).
The Attorney is demanding a jury trial in the above complaints
