The Pasadena City College Shatford Library will be holding a “Food for Fine$” drive from March 12 to 23 where library fines will be waived in exchange for canned goods. The collected food will be donated to local food banks. Donations will be accepted at the Circulation Desk.
PCC students and community members will receive $2 in current fines waived for each can or package of food donated during the drive, with a maximum of $20 per person. The library asks that no perishables, damaged or expired items, condiments, or glass containers be donated. Replacement fees for lost or damaged materials are not included in this special program.
For more information, please visit www.pasadena.edu/library/foodforfines.cfm or contact Pearl Ly at (626) 585-3309 or pmly@pasadena.edu.
