Pasadena Reaches Out With Community Needs-Assessment Survey

The departments of Human Services and Recreation and Housing have launched a community-wide needs-assessment survey, making it available at a variety of locations around the city and online. The two city departments are working together to make certain their services are aligned with critical needs of residents, and that limited community resources are used to their best effect. The effort is strongly supported by partnering community organizations.
“The survey is an opportunity for parents to make their families’ voices heard about Pasadena’s parks, playgrounds, teen center, sports fields and housing needs,” explained Jaylene Moseley, President of the Flintridge Center. “Parents’ opinions and feedback will be particularly important for the city in planning for the future.”
Surveys in both English and Spanish are available at Villa-Parke Community Center, the Teen Education Center at La Pintoresca Park, Jackie Robinson Community Center, Robinson Park Recreation Center, Victory Park Recreation Center, Pasadena Senior Center, the Department of Human Services and Recreation at City Hall, the Department of Housing at 649 North Fair Oaks, Suite 202, and all Pasadena libraries during their regular hours of operation.
To emphasize the importance of the outreach, Vice Mayor Margaret McAustin and City Manager Michael Beck will be on hand to conduct the survey personally on Saturday, March 10, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at Victory Park Center, 2575 Paloma Street.
The survey is also available online at the bottom of the city’s homepage at www.cityofpasadena.net.
Completing the survey only takes a few minutes, and everyone who fills one out will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate for recreation classes and activities.
The survey is open to all Pasadena residents 18 and older. It concludes March 23 at 5:00 p.m.
