Residents and others are invited to share their positive experiences during and after the recent hurricane-force windstorm, whether it was their own neighbor-to-neighbor encounters or with the city of Pasadena, and the efforts that could have been improved.

Three community meetings have been scheduled. Spanish interpretation will be provided at each meeting.

• Saturday, Jan. 14, at 10 a.m., at Southern California Public Radio’s Crawford Family Forum, 474 S. Raymond Ave.

• Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 7 p.m., at Jackie Robinson Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave.

• Thursday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m., at Pasadena City College’s Creveling Lounge (Building CC), 1570 E. Colorado Blvd.

On Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 the violent windstorm toppled thousands of private and public trees, which in turn knocked down power lines, leaving 10 percent of Pasadena in the dark.

Public safety personnel quickly secured city streets, kept everyone safely away from dangerous power lines and responded to nearly 5,000 emergency calls.

City crews from Pasadena Water and Power worked around the clock for a week to restore electricity; Public Works Department crews continue to clear an estimated 180 million pounds of tree debris from 325 miles of city streets.

For more information about the meetings call (626) 744-4222.
