Parents wait for news - Photo by Terry Miller

Nervous parents waited for word outside the school for hours until students were finally released from each classroom individually and taken to the athletic fields .

There was an initial report of note threatening a teacher and then other rumors quickly spread none of which was substantiated.

There was much confusion and little to comfort parents as news helicopters hovered overhead.
Campus drive was shut down completely and parents were directed toward Duarte .
The investigation continues.
