Suspicious Death Investigated – Body Found at Fire Scene

On July 31t in the early morning hours, the Pasadena Fire and Police Departments responded to a fire in a detached structure in the 100 Block of S. San Marino Avenue. The fire was extinguished and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
On August 2nd shortly before noon, a private arson investigator went to the location to conduct a follow up investigation. During his investigation he discovered a deceased body in the backyard structure. He immediately called 911 and police officers responded.
Pasadena Fire Department Arson Investigators and police detectives are conducting an investigation into the death. The body has not been identified at this time.
