Chamber of Commerce in Arcadia Gets Corporate ‘Presenting’ Sponsor
Westfield Santa Anita has been announced as “Community Builder Presenting Sponsor” of the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce for the coming year.
In a press release sent out Thursday the Chamber said: “Westfield has been very committed to the City of Arcadia since they purchased the property in 1998.Through ongoing reinvestment in Westfield Santa Anita, the company has enhanced the center’s vitality and relevance for consumers, creating new shopping and entertainment options, generating new jobs and tax revenues. Similarly, the company has demonstrated its leadership with an enduring corporate commitment to community through philanthropy and volunteerism, helping to raise money through its Westfield Works Wonders program benefiting many of the area’s non-profit organizations, charities, schools, hospitals and youth groups.”
The agreement, reached in June, significantly expands Westfield’s annual sponsorship and support of multiple Chamber of Commerce events each year, including the hosting of a Business Expo and Holiday Mixer, as well as consistently being one of the top sponsors of Taste of Arcadia, the latter considered the city’s signature annual event. This year’s Taste of Arcadia is set for Sept. 19, at which Westfield will be a Gold Level Sponsor.”
Much like the Tournament of Roses which is now known as the “Tournament of Roses Presented by Honda” corporate sponsorship has become a means to an end to many businesses and corporations. Beginning July 1, Westfield’s name will appear along with the Chamber logo.
“This agreement not only demonstrates Westfield’s commitment to the Chamber and the community, but also reflects the tremendous value the Chamber provides to local businesses and the City of Arcadia,” said Chamber President Bob Hoffman.
