Two Suspects Hit by Gun Fire after altercation with off duty Temple Station Sheriff’s Deputy Saturday

During the early morning hours of Saturday, March 26, 2011, Sheriff’s Homicide detectives responded to the 200 block of Rosemead Boulevard, unincorporated area of Pasadena, to investigate the circumstances surrounding a deputy-involved shooting.

Investigators learned that four suspects pulled their car into the drive-through of a restaurant, behind the vehicle of an off-duty Sheriff’s Deputy, who was waiting in the drive-through. Two suspects exited their vehicle and, for unknown reasons, accosted the deputy.

The deputy also exited his vehicle and a deputy-involved shooting occurred.

Two of the four suspects were struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital, where they are being treated for their wounds. Both suspects are expected to recover. The other two suspects were arrested at the location by Temple Sheriff’s Station deputies for Assault and Criminal Threats charges. Both are still in custody.

No weapons were recovered from the suspects.
