Vagina Monologues at Sierra Madre Playhouse March 27 and 28
Planned Parenthood Combats Intimate Partner Violence
With Second Annual Vagina Monologues Performance at Sierra Madre Playhouse
Planned Parenthood Pasadena & San Gabriel Valley present their second annual all-staff and volunteer produced benefit performances of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in support of the V-DAY 2011 Campaign to Stop Violence Against Women and Girls.
As the leading provider of affordable, quality reproductive health care and health education in Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, Planned Parenthood staff work every day to end intimate partner violence facing women and families. Through counseling, education sessions and confidential health care, we provide a safe place to turn for help. One-hundred percent of patients receive education and counseling tailored to their specific needs- including screening for intimate partner violence and abuse.
Proceeds of the two performances support the life-saving cervical, breast and testicular cancer screenings, contraceptive services, well-woman exams, testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections, education and counseling visits that are just some of the many preventative health care services provided by Planned Parenthood.
