Senator Liu’s Office Offers Financial Assistance to Those in Need

California State Senator Carol Liu’s District Office will be partnering with the Eastern Los Angeles Energy Assistance Team (ELEAT) to provide utility bill financial assistance and home weatherization repairs for low-income Temple City residents. “It is more important than ever to help those in need, especially during these tough economic times. By relieving residents of their expensive monthly utility bill and repairing their homes to increase energy efficiency, they can then save money for other pertinent needs. Those interested in these assistance programs are required to meet qualifications based on household occupancy size, monthly income, and residency within Temple City and other neighboring communities.” Carol Luis office said.
Those who are interested should contact our District Office at the number below to see if they qualify. Upon qualification, they must RSVP through our office and attend a mandatory Energy Education and Application Filing Session. This session is scheduled for Thursday, March 16th, from 6 to 8pm at the Live Oak Park Community Center, and will feature presentations by Senator Liu and members of the ELEAT team. We also encourage all of you to personally inquire about the qualifications. Even if you do not qualify, Senator Liu’s office invites you to attend on the 16th and learn more about energy conservation/efficiency!
