The Carrie Hamilton Theatre At The Pasadena Playhouse announces Limited Engagement of
starring Maripat Donovan performances begin March 3, 2011.
The Pasadena Playhouse (Sheldon Epps, Artistic Director and Stephen Eich, Executive Director) announced that ‘TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NIGHT CATECHISM 3 will play a limited engagement in the Carrie Hamilton Theatre at The Pasadena Playhouse. Performances will begin March 3, 2011, with a press opening on Monday, March 7, 2011.

‘TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3 stars everyone’s favorite Sister – Maripat Donovan, and is written by Maripat Donovan with Marc Silvia and directed by Marc Silvia. ‘TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3 is the latest class to be unveiled in this sinfully funny series which include the original Late Nite Catechism, Late Nite Catechism 2 and Sister’s Christmas Catechism. After teaching countless students all about the saints, venial sins, guilt, limbo and more, Sister is now offering up her hilarious lessons on the Sacraments of Marriage and Last Rites, including her own wacky version of “The Newlywed Game.” Classroom participation is a must, so bring along your sweetie and your sense of humor for some quality time with Sister – the feistiest new couples counselor in town. As always, each performance is unique and will appeal to people of all ages and faiths.
Maripat Donovan originated the role of Sister in Late Nite Catechism and has toured internationally, receiving rave reviews for her work in Chicago, Boston, Rhode Island, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, London and Dublin. She has worked in Chicago theatre for more than 20 years, winning Joseph Jefferson citations for her work in Portrait of a Shiksa and The Good Times are Killing Me. For her work in Late Nite Catechism, she was nominated for the coveted Outer Critics Circle Award in New York for Outstanding Solo Performance, and she won the Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Solo Performance in Los Angeles. Through her production company, Donovan Entertainment, she continues to delight audiences across the country with her plays Late Nite Catechism, Late Nite Catechism 2, and Sister’s Christmas Catechism.
‘TIL DEATH DO US PART: LATE NITE CATECHISM 3 will begin performances at the Carrie Hamilton Theatre at The Pasadena Playhouse beginning March 3, 2011 through April 3, 2011 with the official press opening on March 7, 2011. The Carrie Hamilton Theatre is located above The Pasadena Playhouse located at 39 South El Molino Avenue in Pasadena. The performance schedule is Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 5:00 p.m. Regular ticket prices are $28.00 each.
