Readers Choice 2010

Dear Readers:

Every year Beacon Media readers are asked to vote for their favorite restauarant, mechanic, hairstylist etc….
We receive hundreds of responses and compile the results and publish one of the biggest sections of the year. We hope you enjoy the edition in print. It is also here, on line for your convenience.
Thank you to all our advertisers and readers.

Beacon Media, publisher of the Pasadena Independent, Arcadia Weekly, Monrovia Weekly, Sierra Madre Weekly, Temple City Tribune published the 2010 Readers’ Choice edition in all of our newspapers. This popular guide to the restaurants, retail stores, home & garden services and other businesses in the San Gabriel Valley has become an annual tradition since its inception 15 years ago.
A truly democratic issue, the 2010 Readers’ Choice features the results of several months survey of Beacon Media’s 100,000 plus weekly readers who were asked to submit their favorite local businesses, from hamburger stands to hair salons.
Thousands of additional copies have been added to the weekly print run of all Beacon Media Publications for this celebratory issue, which is available on newsstands everywhere now. For those wishing to read the publication in a digital format, click on the image of the cover and you will connect directly to the latest online Print Edition of your community paper, visible for all, in perpetuity, thanks to Beacon Media’s free digital archiving system implemented at the beginning of 2009.
A very special THANK YOU, goes out to our wonderful cover girl ( Sarah Spina) who modeled for Beacon Media Photographer. Hours of posing in many different locations helped create an extra special edition.
Thank you Sarah, Andrea Olivas for the design and countless hours designing and laying out the publication and Publisher Von Raees for designing the cover and , of course, being the publisher of these community papers for the past 14 years. Thanks too to our devoted sales team, Brad Healy and Victor Buell without whom this publication would not have been possible. And finally, lasdt but by no means least, Thank you to all our advertisers and readers – for it without you, we would not exist! We hope you enjoy Readers Choice 2010, Let us know what you think.
